--  12/15/2010 -- Additional information on the descendants of Dr. David Richard Norman, Sr. (son of Richard Norman and Martha "Patsey" Middleton) added.  The source of information was "Descendants of David Richard Norman, Sr." by Susan Norman Twohig at "http://freepates.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~jinxavier/Norman/norman_descendants..."

NOVEMBER 2010

-- 11/17/2010  -- Following the discovery of a quite large document on the internet for the descendents of Martha "Patsey" Middleton [ daughter of James Middleton, Jr., son of Samuel Middleton and nephew of Capt. James Middleton] and Richard Norman, what will probably be a drawn-out project to add this information to the website has begun.  The source is "Descendants of Richard Norman" by Harriet P. 'Brantley' Lane, at http://www.oocities.com/thurlane/norman.html -- completed entry 12/6/2010).

OCTOBER 2010

-- 10/30/2010:  1) Pinecrest Cemetery in Warsaw, NC is being added to the cemetery section of  the website.  There are four Middleton plots in this cemetery.  The initial upload to the website will include only plot, name, birth & death dates and relationships, if listed on the gravestone.  Additional inscriptions on the gravestones, pictures of gravestones and links to family group sheets will be added later as time permits.  2) Other descendents of John Middleton of Onslow County, NC (d. 1744) are also buried in various places in Pinecrest Cemetery and will be added in an "Other Descendents" section as they are identified; pictures for these gravestones are not current planned -- only a listing with basic gravestone information. 3) An internet link has been added giving information on the James McClammy Middleton Cemetery near Magnolia, Duplin County, NC. 4) Bits and pieces of additional information has been added to various family groups sheets in the database.

MAY 2010

-- 5/6/2010:  The addition of the descendants of  Susannah Middleton, daughter of John Middleton of Onslow County, NC,  has been completed.

APRIL 2010

-- 4/23/10:  Received extensive genealogy of the descendants of Susannah Middleton, daughter of John Middleton of Onslow County, NC, from Audrey Viner in Raeford NC.  She is the granddaughter of James Howard Batts (1861-1919).  Previously, very little information had been available to me on this branch of John Middleton's family.  This branch will be added as time permits.

JANUARY 2010

-- 1/16/10:  General housekeeping was carried out:  1) Edited various introductory pages and the "Layout and Navigation" page; 2) added the background for and a picture of the "Henry Middleton Rd." sign on Hwy 24/50 between Warsaw and Kenansville, NC; 3) corrected faulty e-mail addresses found on the "Queries" page; and 4) modified the layout of the "Name Index" page.

DECEMBER 2009

-- 12/5/09:  The cemetery section for the Capt. James Middleton and the David John Middleton cemeteries has been completed.  It is now viewable on-line by clicking on "Middleton Family Cemeteries in Duplin Cty, NC" in the left-hand column on the home page that comes up initially.  Links have also been established in both directions between the gravestone pictures and the corresponding family group pages in the John Middleton "Descendents of of John Middleton section.  Thus, you can go 1) from gravestone to family group page by clicking on the name directly below the gravestone picture or 2) from family group page to gravestone by first clicking on "Additional Information" near the top of the family group page and then clicking on the person's name under "Gravestone"; clicking on the person's name under "Cemetery" will carry you to the main page for the cemetery in which the person is buried. 

NOVEMBER 2009

-- 11/20/09:  Started building a cemetery section on website to include as of now the Captain James Middleton Cemetery and the David John Middleton Cemetery, both in Duplin County, NC.  For now this subsection of the website is not available for viewing.  The link to access the cemeteries is in the left column on the home page.  Clicking on that link currently yields an "Under Construction" notice.  It will be made available on-line when nearer completion.

MARCH 2007

-- 3/3/07:  Additional family group sheets have been added to many of the descendant lines.  Check if yours has been extended.

OCTOBER 2005

-- 10/17/05:  A "Website Layout & Navigation" information page has been added to assist new viewers in understand and searching the website.  A link to the page is found in the left column on the homepage.
-- 10/17/05:  Updating of website with additional family group sheets has been completed.  Birth dates now include those up to about 1910.  

DECEMBER 1999

-- 12/22/99: Site of Web Page moved to http://www.gabn.net/hmiddleton. On new site search and  form functions are operational.

FEBRUARY 1998:

-- 2/22/98: Minor fix in frames banner window so that two navigation bars will switch back and forth between the two correctly using "Other Options" when viewing with the IE browser.
-- 2/15/98: New links to Middleton and general interest websites

SEPTEMBER 1997:

-- 9/1/97: John Middleton (d. 1744) -- additional information: proof by wills and court record that he is not the grandson of Robert Middleton of Westmoreland Cty, VA.
-- 9/1/97: Two new queries added: 1) James and Stephen Middleton, who move to Barnwell Cty, SC about 1800 and 2) James Spicer, who moves to Memphis TN.

AUGUST 1997:

-- 8/31/97: Picture pages now have "Family Group Page" navigation buttons at the bottom of each picture page.
-- 8/31/97: Frames Picture Index Keypad now has "Families", "Places" and "Things" added
-- 8/31/97: Pictures added: Theodore Middleton Family (1868-1935)
-- 8/31/97: Pictures added: David John Middleton Family (1827-1935)
-- 8/30/97: Added more surnames to "Allied Families" list.
-- 8/23/97: Banner frame (frames format) now has two navigation bars (rather than one) which can be switched back and forth using the "Other Options" button in each bar. This was done because the number of navigation functions has exceeded what can fit on one line in the banner frame.
-- 8/23/97: Picture Index "keypad" added to left contents frame in frames format. Now when you select "Picture Index", the picture index keypad loads into the contents frame.
-- 8/18/97: Topics in "Help" increased.
